Whales are very social creatures and travel in groups called pods. They use different noises to communicate with one another, including their unique "music."

The Sounds of Water

Water can make many types of sounds. How does water coming out of a sink faucet sound? Does rain sound differently when it falls on the ground than when it falls on an umbrella? What does a waterfall sound like? Or a stream?

Here are a few examples of what water sounds like. How would you describe what the water sounds like in each of these audio clips? Listen closely when you're around water and note the different sounds. You may be surprised at what you hear!
